Why won’t it let me type in my info for W2?

Are you trying to manually enter your W-2 information? Or are you trying to download it automatically?

Into what field are you trying to enter data?

I've added my W2, but when I try to add my wife, I add her EID number and brings me to the next page to put in her employer info. Once there, won't let me type anything in the boxes. No option to import either.

To clarify

are you filing a Married Filing Joint return?

Did you finish entering your W-2 and then click "Add a W-2" before entering your wife's W-2?

What TurboTax program are you using?

Have you entered the personal information for both you and your wife?

I was finally able to fill in my Wifes W2 by jumping forward on fields and then go back. Now I can't add anything into any field after that .  Getting very frustrated!! i am using the Delux edition.

I am assuming you are using TurboTax CD/Download version, you should be able to add a W-2 form for either one of you. Don't use forms to enter your W-2 info.

My wife's W2 did not have the option to download. So many issues with turbo tax this year!! I've been using turbo tax since 2004 and gave up this year and purchased H&R Block for the first time.
