Why won't it give me a military discount

First verify you meet the qualifications.  The TurboTax Free Miliary filing is for:

• Active duty and reservists of an enlisted rank
  (E-1 through E-9) with a W2 from DFAS
• Excludes National Guard members
• Excludes TurboTax Live products

If you fall into the above category follow these steps to trigger the discount.

1. In the "My Info" section
2. Edit your personal information
3. Indicate your military status (Active/Reserve)
4. Indicate an "Enlisted Pay Grade"
5. Continue to complete the section
6. Next in the federal "Wages & Income" section
7. Edit your military W2
8. Verify/enter the form information
9. In the follow on page asking about "Uncommon Situations"
10. Select "Active Military Pay" from the list
11. Continue to complete the section
12. The discount will be applied when you are ready to file
