Why is Turbo Tax giving me an error on the 1099-SA form? There is nothing highlighted to indicate what the error is.

Ive checked and rechecked everything but can't find where the error is.

What is the error (word for word) that you are receiving on form 1099-SA? And on what screen are you receiving this error - on the data entry screens for the 1099-SA? If so, which one? Or is this occurring in the Federal Review? Or elsewhere?

And, just to confirm, are you working on your HSA? (some taxpayers mentally switch the SSA-1099 for Social Security and the 1099-SA for HSA distributions).

If you can, can you make a screenshot and point to where the problem seems to be (please redact any personally identifiable data)?

Or, if you chose, you can delete all HSA data on your return by doing a "reset" (see below), and starting over.

***HSA Reset***

1. make a copy of your W-2(s) (if you don't have the paper copies)

2. delete your W-2(s) (use the garbage can icon next to the W-2(s) on the Income screen)

*** Desktop***

3. go to View (at the top), choose Forms, and select the desired form. Note the Delete Form button at the bottom of the screen.

*** Online ***

3. go to Tax Tools (on the left), and navigate to Tools->Delete a form

4. delete form(s) 1099-SA (if one), 8889-T, and 8889-S (if one) 

5. go back and re-add your W-2(s), preferably adding them manually

6. go back and redo the entire HSA interview.

Thanks but I think it was because I cut n pasted the HSA account number into the form. When I typed it in everything worked.
