Why is Turbo Tax forcing me to use the desktop application and not allowing the cloud/website version?

The deadline to use online TurboTax software was October 15, 2024.   It is now too late to use online.    If you still need to prepare or finish preparing a 2023 (or earlier tax year) return, you have to switch to the CD/download on a full PC or Mac.  And you will have to file by mail; e-filing is now closed.

CD/DOWNLOAD (This requires a full PC or Mac—-cannot be used on a mobile device)

You can also purchase the CD/download from various retailers such as Costco, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Staples, Sam’s Club, etc. etc. etc.
