Why is it that I cannot file until the health form is available on 1/6/17? If it is not available for turbo tax, does that mean it is not available to everyone else?

You may have a sense of urgency about filing your return but the IRS will not begin accepting returns until Jan. 23 so you have lots of time to wait for the forms that are not yet complete and get your return filed as soon as the IRS will accept it

Once a form is completed by the IRS then the tax software companies must incorporate it into their software and get the IRS to approve it. It's hard to say whether any other companies can do it any quicker than TurboTax or not.
