The 2020 AGI is used by the IRS to identify you as the taxpayer who can e-file the federal 2021 tax return.  It is your electronic filing signature.

It's a safety feature, to confirm it is you. You can logon to the IRS and see your AGI from last year. You do not need to request a copy like you are told by Turbotax. I literally just did this.

Do I just go to IRS.gov and get it from there?
