Please clarify. What do you mean by "incomplete"?
So in the final review, as I am trying to e-file my taxes, the review says I need to fix a problem. Form PIT-B has two columns, column1 is blank and column2 has the correct number. It says that the problem is that both columns must match. I have gone back and tried to fix the problem but everything is entered correctly and there are no blank spaces that I have not filled out. I have gone back and reviewed my return multiple times. This Form PIT-B problem applies to both my Federal and New Mexico state returns.
The column 1 entries usually come from your federal return. You say that line 1, column 1 is blank,, but this space should be the amount of wages, salaries, tips, etc. from federal Form 1040 or 1040SR, line 1. Is line 1 on your 1040 really blank?
So are you a resident, a first-year resident, a part-year resident, or a nonresident?
For background, please read pages B-4 and following at these NM Instructions. Ring a bell?
