TT agent just tried telling me it takes 3-5 business days for acceptance and that they just have a large backlog of returns sent so it's taking irs longer. I guarantee if I file right now with freetaxusa it's accepted within an hour. I told her she was bsing me and ended up hanging up cuz she just wouldn't abandon the script and be honest.
@Cmtc Lol crazy right.. they are so full of sh!t…Federal return fully deposited into my account this morning. State is supposed to come through on Monday.
Wait it was 3-5 business days for IRS to recieve it THEN another 24-48 hours for acceptance. I'm filing freetax today
@Itsjustme86 turbo tax is lying to you, just like they did to all of us. Their software can’t keep up with amount of submissions and they are holding customer returns for no good reason. Never transmitting to irs or state. File somewhere else and you’ll get instant acceptance. The TurboTax glitch is probably the reason for everyone else getting extremely fast turnarounds. I got my federal refund in my bank within 8 calendar days of re-filing through TaxACT.
Yea I'm about to sign into my freetaxusa account now. I always use freetax but went with turbo this year because of their free deal they have right now and I was opting for the loan. But that loan isn't worth all this stress.
Really believe there is a glitch in the turbotax software. I have the same issue, after 72 hours I still had not received an email indicating that my return had been accepted or rejected. I reopened my return on my turbotax software to check the status and got a error message that the software couldn't reach the server and to retry later. So I retried several more times and finally got a response that said "Congratulations, the IRS had accepted your return, and that I was finished with my taxes!" However, I still HAVE NOT received a "Confirmation Email from Intuit Turbotax" confirming my return has been accepted by the IRS. This year's Turbotax Software has been sluggish and unresponsive on several occasions this years. I've been using Turbotax for many, many years, and this is the first time that I can remember having these kinds of unresponsive issues with the software. FYI it take several attempt for the software to connect to the server to check for updates.
Any update? Has it updated yet??
My wife (married this year) has used FreeTaxUSA and her taxes have already been deposited into her account she filled last Friday 1/31/25 and had it deposited into her account this past Wednesday. I myself used TurboTax and like I have been for the last 5years and mine has been pending for 3days IRS doesn’t know where my taxes are because they don’t have them. I think it’s an issue with TurboTax.
Ya, mine has been pending over a week, turbo tax said it was submitted and pending but on my state's revenue website it sais they still haven't received anything, what's going on?
I waited days before I went ahead and filed on TaxAct and my return was accepted immediately. I got a email 5 days later from Turbo Tax telling me it was rejected because the IRS had already received a return. I didn’t have time to wait on them. I’ll use TaxAct from now on.
I successfully filed my federal and state tax returns electronically, and I have received confirmation that both returns were accepted by the IRS and my state. However, I am unable to print my tax return.
When I log into my TurboTax account:
- The system behaves as if my return was never completed, prompting me to continue the filing process.
- When I follow the prompts to the end, it confirms that both my federal and state returns were already transmitted and accepted.
- Despite this confirmation, I cannot access the “Download/Print Return (PDF)†option in my account.
I’ve tried:
- Logging in on different browsers and devices.
- Clearing my cache and cookies.
- Using the TurboTax Print Center directly.
None of these steps resolved the issue.
I didn't purchase an ev and mines pending that sound like more b.s to pacify people
You need to be careful…it’s not obvious that your return was not properly transmitted. They’re still working on it…
Has it changed yet same thing happened to mines
