Why does the "your income" screen keep ignoring the 1099G numbers I've input (twice), and instead still reads "Needs Review"?

My unemployment earnings from 2020 are showing in the 2020 column, however in the 2021 column, it keeps ignoring the details I've filled in.

If your unemployment income is on your tax return, you don't need to worry about the summary. Unemployment shows on line 7 of Schedule 1.

To view your 1040 in TurboTax Online:

  1. On the left side menu, select  Tax Tools near the bottom.
  2. Select Tools.
  3. Select View Tax Summary from the list at the bottom of this box.
  4. Select Preview my 1040 from the center of the left side menu.
  5. Scroll down to Schedule 1 and check the line 7 amount.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop (download or disc):

  1. Click Forms toward the upper right corner.
  2. Find Schedule 1  on the list on the left.
  3. Highlight it, then scroll down to  Schedule 1 and check the line 7 amount.
  4. Click on Step by Step in the upper right corner to return to the interview.
