Why does my Turbo Tax program launch itself automatically?

What do you mean?

Are you using the CD/download version installed on your computer?

If so, Mac or Windows?

I am using the CD / download version on a Windows 10 PC.

I boot up the computer and, within a few minutes, the program opens with no action to do so taken by me. I close the program. It will then open itself up again. Sometimes in a few minutes; sometimes it will take longer.

I have gone into the update settings and turned off all automatic updates / downloads.

That sounds like a Windows feature. I am a Mac person, but Mac allows a user to specify specific programs to start automatically after a reboot. Probably Windows does also.
