You received a rejection email that we cannot see. Please tell us word for word what it says so we know how to help you.
Action needed. Your rejected Federal return. Also the same message for my state. I have checked and rechecked and cannot find the problem. The only thing is the PIN number. It said choose any number yet it was not the same as last year so I went back to my old records and entered the old PIN and was still rejected. NOthing else changed.
Are you referring to the self-select pin or the IRS issued IP PIN? If it is the self-select pin, any number should be sufficient. However, the IP PIN must match the IRS number. You can use the link below to obtain the number.
Aside from the pin, are you receiving a rejection code? Is it specifically telling you the rejection is related to the pin?
