Why does my documents show 4 payment vouchers that end up amounting to well over my taxes due?
Those are probably the 1040-ES vouchers for 2017 -- quarterly estimated tax payment vouchers -- and have nothing to do with your current tax return. They're included as a convenience if you want to make estimated tax payments this year. You can use them or toss them, as you wish.
