Why does it say I am getting a refund of $348 but I have to pay $277?

You may be looking at the federal and state totals.   Do you owe state taxes and are getting a refund from the IRS?   Are you looking at your TurboTax fees?

No, I am getting a refund from state and it is a different amount.

Can you clarify your situation?   When did you file your returns?   Are you asking why you received less than what you filed?   From the IRS or the state?

I just filed my taxes today. I knew my husband and I would have to pay this year. We owe $277 but after I completed my return, it also said we are getting a refund of $348 from the IRS. I am confused as to why. TurboTax has already been paid and I am getting a state refund of a different amount.
