Why DO They Ask For Identity Verification For Federal Taxes But Not State returns????

I'm just wondering because on the TurboTax app it says different It says approved and Received by March 8, and my state return says the same thing as my federal but I wonder why they asked for identity Verification For One But not the Other??? If the verification was already identified For & When My State Return Was Approved And Received Some Days Later ?? Also Can you call And Verify With The IRS ? This has never happened Since I've Been With TurboTax Since 2019?

Why DO They Ask For Identity Verification For Federal Taxes But Not State returns????

Federal and state returns are processed by two completely separate entities.   The fact that one--either the IRS or the state-- requires identity verification has nothing to do with the other.

TurboTax did not say your refund was "approved."   TurboTax says your return was accepted.  Those words have different meanings.

If either the IRS or your state requests that you verify your identity, then you have to follow their instructions and provide the information they request.    TurboTax cannot help you with that.  You have to do that for yourself.  If you do not verify your identity when they request it, you will not receive your refund.
