If your Stimulus Payment was deposited on the wrong account, you will need to contact the IRS once their telephone line is open at 1-800-829-1040 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Contacting the IRS is no help either. Both, their Customer Support and Refund Hotline, systems are fully-automated and offer no assistance for this issue.
I received an email notification that the IRS was depositing my stimulus payment, and, this morning, when I checked the available info from the IRS website, I learned that they had also deposited my payment into the wrong account.
It's impossible to resolve this issue, when NO ONE is offering LIVE SUPPORT at this time!!
As if the times weren't difficult enough, now some people can't even access their funds because they're being deposited into the incorrect accounts, and NONE of the automated systems are able to rectify the situation!!
The 'wrong' account is TurboTax's account temporarily opened when you file so IRS could deposit the money when you last filed using TurboTax. I have had the same issue where my stimulus money deposited into some unknown account. There are articles about this online. Not sure what the next steps would be. Hopefully the temp account is close otherwise TurboTax gets all the money and not saying a word to their customers
