Why did i get charged for premium and the state when i bought the deluxe with a state at amazon

Are you in California?  If you want to have the state efile fee deducted from your federal refund you have to get Premium services.  There is an extra $40 (45 in California) Refund Processing Service charge for that which you can avoid by paying upfront with a credit card.

Oh and.....In the Desktop program you get one free state PROGRAM download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then each state return (including the first one) is $20 to efile, usually goes up to $25 March 1. Or you can print and mail state for free.

Yes im in california I paid for the premium with the one free state file I still got charged 45$ for premium and 25$ for state

Yes I explained that.  It is $25 to efile state.  Then to have the fee deducted from your federal refund is another $45 Refund Processing Service charge which you could have avoided by paying the $25 with a credit card.

But isn’t suppose to already be included when you buy the turbo tax deluxe with one free state file

If you e-file you get charged the $45.  I called in and she helped me remove it by going back to the filing section.  I will print my state taxes and mail them in at no charge.
