Why can't the Intuit bot not answer why Amazon costs half of direct from Intuit use the Chase "promotion"? How stupid do they think we are?

Amazon sets its own prices, just like any other retailer.   Amazon sells the desktop download, which is available from Intuit or a number of other retailers as well, such as Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart, Best Buy, Staples, etc.  Those retailers establish their own prices.    The price for desktop download is very different from the pricing for online TurboTax.   We do not know what Chase promotion you are referring to.   Often the affiliate discounts are for online software, though, and you have to use them via the affiliate website.
