Why Am I showing a state tax due when I pay out on this every check. Has to be a mistake

Unfortunately, it is likely not a mistake.

The IRS and many states changed their withholding tables after the new tax laws were enacted. Their goal was to increase the money you receive each paycheck by lowering the withholding to more closely reflect tax due.

As a result, many taxpayers owe or are receiving reduced refunds this year.

You should go to Review to make sure you have entered your withholdings correctly.
