Why am I getting so much more back this year over last ?

Tax refunds (both federal and state) are a function of your taxable income and taxes withheld in relation to the tax bracket that you are in. From the information you provided, there is no way for Turbo Tax to determine why your refund is larger this year. We would have to examine prior year as well as current year to give you anything more than a guess as to why.
