Do I put in the name of the person that sent me a 1099, or do I put in mine, because I sent out 1099's?

If you are the one sending out the 1099's then you would enter your name in.

If you are receiving the 1099 for work you did, then the person who is sending you the 1099 would have their information there.

I understand that, my problem is...I had to correct an error at the final stage of my taxes. It takes me to 1099 Misc. Payers name box 1. It doesn't tell me if it is mine, or the person that paid me.

Whose name do I put in on form 1099 Misc. in box 1?
