Email headline says "Your w-2 from [WRONG EMPLOYER] is on the way", which has caused at least 30 people to worry that their identities have been stolen. It seems like people from North Carolina, Arizona, Kansas and WA state have been affected. TurboTax customer service is NO help and even actively dissuades you from being worried if you manage to get someone on the phone.
TurboTax is saying they are unaware of the ongoing issue that has been documented online since the beginning of January. They are clearly aware and do not care that their customers are freaking out about identity theft.
They have not released a statement.
