WHICH TT FILE IS MY CURRENT ONE?

I've noticed I have several TT files.

All have the .tax2021 suffix.

Some have a single ~.  Others have 2 ~.  One has 3 ~.

Even though I work on my taxes daily, the dates of these files in Windows Explorer range from 1-21-22 to 2-4-22.  (None shows today's date even though I just finished adding stuff today, 2-16.)

How do I determine which of these various files is the current one so I can then back it up?

Thanks for any help!

Alan

The file with your .tax2021 is your tax return.  The files with the ~ are temp files, they show for each day you work on your tax return.  They are there in case your original .tax2021 file gets damaged, you can use the temp file to continue with your return.  You can actually delete the temp files if you want to.

Thank you for answering - much appreciated!

I hope this helps others in the future (before I posted here, I tried TT "Help," and Google, but I could not find anything on this topic.)

    Thanks again,
