I am doing my 2023 taxes for my daughter and son in law. I have no errors in smart check but I get a message that the email address is wrong. When I check the 1040 form it is bland and doesn't allow me to add the email.

That is not an income tax error - it is an e-file issue. You don't need an email address to e-file your federal return, but some states require it. What state are you filing a return for?
