Where is service code?

Paid for download turbo tax 2018 in Nov 2018 ($99.99) now that I'm filing you're asking me to pay again...$124.99! Why? Where do I find my service code?

Sounds like you bought the Desktop program but ended up in the Online version.  When you filled out your return was there a black column on the left side with the menu items?  That was online.

I see people all the time that have bought the CD/Download Desktop Software but then somehow ended up using the Online version and didn't know it.  If that happened to you,  you can move your Online file to the Desktop program and continue without paying for Online or needing to reenter your info. Post back if you need to know how to move it to your Desktop program.

I have a mac so specifically asked for download version rather than a CD since I have no slot for a CD. I may just pay twice like what happened last year and then they will refund me. Just want to file and move on!!

Did you get the download installed?  Wish we knew how people that bought the Desktop program keep ending up in the Online version.  Do you have any idea how you got started online?  You should not be going online or logging into an account.

To move your online return to the Desktop program.
First download the .tax2018 file from the Online version,

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - New)

You've been soooo helpful!! Problem started when my husband started file via online version cuz he couldn't figure out how to access the version I already had on the desk top. I was able to do that and save the online version with the link you sent me. Thank you so very much - you Rock!!
