where do i log per diem

i was a contractor for the first time in 2024 and i see the meals expense option and travel expense category - the per diem i received is not suited for the travel expense explicitly but i'm not sure if it fits in the meals section. can someone confirm?

If you ate the meals while travelling, hotels, planes, cabs, food - it is a travel expense. If you were in town doing local things and had a meal with someone to discuss business, it is a business meal.
