If you are excluding canceled debt from your income because of insolvency, TurboTax recommends that you consult a tax professional. Insolvency is reported on Form 982, but reporting insolvency is not supported in the TurboTax interview. If you are using the CD or download TurboTax software, you can complete Form 982 in forms mode, but there is no help or guidance. You have to know what you're doing. That's why consulting a tax professional is recommended.

When you posted your question you indicated that you are using TurboTax Expert Assist & Review, which is now called TurboTax Live. If that is correct, you should direct your questions about insolvency to the tax expert that you are working with.
