Did you get an IRS letter such as a 5071C instructing you that you have to ID Verify with the IRS before they can finish processing your return?   If so, is the code you refer to not in that letter?   Or have you net yet received a letter with the instructions and 14-digit code?

It was included in an IRS letter (‌5071C or 6331C).   

• This number is used to Verify your return
• If you lost or misplaced the PIN go to Retrieve your identity protection PIN (IP PIN)

The article provided above by TurboTax CatinaT1  says it can take up to 6 weeks to process.  However, by the time it's actually sent, can be a bit longer.    You may be able to monitor it at some point in the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool, but it may take a while to show up there with the new info.

If the verification proves you are the person named on the return and that you personally filed the return, the return will be processed. After successful verification, it takes about 6 weeks to complete processing.
