It should be. What are you trying to enter? But there will be many updates to come. The IRS hasn't even finalized all the forms yet.
this link provides dates it's estimated forms will be ready for Federal purposes. However, Turbotax and all other tax programs are dependent on the date the IRS gives approval to them.
Will not accept edits to W2. Says interest data not ready for input.
Thanks!
What? Interest doesn't have anything to do with W2. You can't import any 1099 yet. It's too early. Wait until late January or probably late February. You can't efile until late Jan or February anyway. So there's no hurry.
Ohhh... you are asking about IMPORTING information from third party sources not INPUTTING data manually. Importing only happens after the first of the year and only when the third parties make the import data bases available which is usually later in January or sometime in February or as late as March for some corrected broker statements.
You can securely import your 1099-B, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-OID, or 1099-R into TurboTax, provided your broker or financial institution participates in our TurboTax Partner program.
When you get to the place in TurboTax where we ask if you received that form, answer Yes and we'll give you the option to import.
You can also jump straight to the section for your specific 1099 form. Here's how:
Tip: When selecting your financial institution or brokerage from the list, be sure to select the right one. For example, several participating partners' names start with First National Bank and if you select the "wrong" First National Bank, you won't be able to import.
Yes, thank you! My question was unfortunately succinct. The link showing a multitude of forms, along with your answers, let’s me know that I’m too early in my form filling. Just trying to gain some insight into a refund determination… or bill!
