Do you know which ones?
Here is my update on this disaster of a situation. I filled out everything with H&R Block several days ago. However, there program did not allow me to use 2019 income for the filing (which was a $2000 difference for me!) for the credit and after three hours on the phone with them, I gave up and went to TaxSlayer last night.
After putting in all the information, TaxSlayer was showing an $1800 higher refund than TurboTax, so I knew I did something wrong. After much wrangling with their online chat and phone system, which both leave much to be desired, I figured out that in the box that allows you to make an adjustment to your self-employed income, you need to enter the difference between your 2019 and 2020 self-employed income, not your 2019 income because your 2020 income is already being accounted for by the system. Once I made that change, my TaxSlayer refund showed $120 less than with Turbo Tax (no idea why!), but I gave up and submitted them and with the difference in cost, it turned out to be a $53 difference. You can use Promo Code SLAYIT35 to save yourself $16. My total for both federal and state was $64. TaxSlayer does not ask as many questions or provide as much information as TurboTax, but it does let you e-file Form 7202 and it is much cheaper!
I can confirm that H&R Block allowed me to E-File form 7202 with no issues and my federal return has already been accepted. Super easy process, just took a little time to re-enter everything. Intuit is being deceptive in saying the form makes you ineligible for e-filling, according to IRS rules; this is false. Been a TurboTax customer for a few years and will no longer be using them because of this.
Were you able to input your 2019 income for Form 7202? People are saying HR Bloch is only allowing 2020 income?
Also could you transfer your 2019 Turbo tax over or did you have to start from scratch?
Yeah it had me do 2020 unfortunately...and I tried to transfer my 2019 TurboTax return but it grabbed very limited information, and the info it did grab was incorrect half the time and just had to re-enter everything. A lil' annoying, but only took an hour or so.
Of course! This whole process gave me a ton of anxiety so I definitely get it lol. I lost $140 trying to file with TurboTax but I also saved like $200 with H&R, so it evened out and with a service that could actually accomplish what I needed.
I used 2020 income. Was able to import 2019 data but had to enter data for the 2020 forms. I went screen-by-screen cutting and pasting. My return was accepted by IRS the next day.
Same here. No issues and the return was accepted by IRS.
I agree with all the other people that have posted about this issue. The fact that Turbo Tax cannot offer functionality to be able to include a PDF file of a form that cannot be e filed is RIDICULOUS. I have encountered several other issues with Turbo Tax this year and I have become increasingly more disappointed with it over the last 3 or 4 years. The people at Intuit/Turbo Tax need a wake up call or they are going to loose a lot of customers.
This is posted on the IRS website today...
Now that the IRS is making accommodations so that we can efile and claim these credits will we be able to do as such via turbotax?
Just use H&R. Both my returns is already efiled and processed including 7202. TurboTax unless you are using the pro version (only for CPA) does not have pdf attachment ability.
Unless I'm mistaken is Turbo Tax now saying theyre supporting Efiling Form 7202??

@jp4343 I saw it say "available" briefly as well. However, when I go into the site and go to review my return, it still tells me I can't e-file.
