When will I be able to file for extension?

when will I be able to file for extension through turbo tax?  I know it says mid March but I was wondering if there was a specific date?

Last year, it came out on March 17th, so it is usually around a month before the deadline, which is April 18, 2017 this year.

Keep in mind, it is not an extension to pay, so you still need to pay the estimated taxes by April 18, 2017 to avoid any failure to pay penalty.
