When will form 8938 be available

Your response is incorrect.  TT may say the 8938 is available, but it is not.  After answering the 8938 related questions, the 8938 does not appear when I print a copy of my return.  I spent a long while a few days ago on the phone with a TT rep who also couldn't get the form to display after I had answered the questions related to it.

In addition, as I pointed out the the rep, the questions TT asks when you are supposedly completing the 8938 are inadequate to actually complete the form.  They collect only enough info to complete the first page of the form.  They do NOT collect the info needed to complete the second page of the form.

Last year I used the desktop TT and it had an 8938 problem too.  You could complete the 8938 but it would not efile.  So I tried online TT this year in hoping for a better result.  But no such luck.

I don't think TT gives a hoot.  They are perfectly happy to take my $100 and not provide what I need to file my return even though they promise too.  I have used TT for many years but never again.

Then you might want to switch to a desktop version this year so that you can take advantage of Forms Mode.

LOL.  Did you even read my note?  I used TT desktop last year and it wouldn't let you efile if you completed an 8938.  This year I've found TT online has problems with the 8938.  So why on earth would I think TT desktop would work any better this year?

There is a term for selling things you don't have.  But because TT is a big corporation, they can get away with it.
