Can confirmed it worked for Michigan without the error finally!!!
NY working as well online now.
@ajd878787 @ChicagoMade Did you folks have to adjust anything? Mine is still not taking. It says “retirement exclusion worksheet Line 6, total exclusion”. “You can keep working on your return and we’ll remove this message when it’s ready”. Basically the same response as a few weeks ago. Just want to ensure you guys didn’t redo it to make the system allow you to e-file the 8915-E. This is frustrating to say the least.
Did you try:
1- Clear cookies and cache in browser settings
2- Open TT and remove 1099-R
3- Renter 1099-R and click through everything and Start Over the State filing
4- Click through to the end

NY — was finally able to file federal/state yesterday and both were accepted already!
finally!
I filed 3 weeks ago. I pulled my tax transcript today. No notices from IRS. I do not see 8915-E anywhere in my transcript. Did the IRS not accept it?
did turbo tax efile do something wrong
CoraCPA, having filed only 3 weeks ago it seems quite unlikely that the transcript for your 2020 tax return transcript would be available online yet. Are you sure that you are looking at your 2020 Tax Return Transcript?
Yes it is. All transactions to the irs are posted and immediate.
seriously, you think I made that up?
You look at it by years, so yes I’m looking at the right year.
all transcripts are available online at all times for anyone to personally view themselves.
When will form 8915E-S be uploaded in TurboTax?
Great news! The IRS created new Form 8915-F to replace Form 8915-E. This form will be used for anyone who chose to take a distribution from their retirement and spread the taxable amount over three years.
It was recently (approximately 15 days) taken out of draft and finalized. TurboTax has an available date of March 24, 2022. Continue to check the availability date by using the link provided.
When entering your 1099-R in TurboTax CD/Download, you’ll be asked Was this withdraw due to Covid-19? On the next screen, it should ask you Did you test positive for the coronavirus in 2020? However, some users are reporting they aren’t being asked that second question.
