When Turbo Tax asks for $ amount of my estimated tax payments for 2023. Is this the $ amount found on line 17 of the W2 form I received in the mail and filed in 2024?

When Turbo Tax asks for $ amount of my estimated tax payments for 2023. Is this the $ amount found on line 17 of the W2 form I received in the mail and filed in 2024?

No, they are asking if you made estimated payments, in addition to the payroll tax withholding found on your W-2.  You would have had to go online to make a payment or mailed in a voucher with a check. Typically, employees, whose main source of income is a W-2 job, don't make estimated payments.

No, they are asking if you made estimated payments, in addition to the payroll tax withholding found on your W-2.  You would have had to go online to make a payment or mailed in a voucher with a check.
