Question

When to file, how are updates applied

TT Deluxe on Win11.

I have all relevant docs

I have gone through the entire step by step for Fed and  State.

TT reports "ready to file"

Should I wait (how long?) for any additional updates to Fed and / or State (AZ).

I did find a confirmed "display error" on my AZ return ( https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/state-taxes/discussion/az-contribution-to-public-school-tt-deluxe-showing-2022-contribution-as-2021/00/2856157   )

If an update, which includes a correction, is applied, will it update my already completed forms?

Thanks!

Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, or to amend if a TurboTax update changes your return or for any other reason,

AND, to find your AGI next year.

If you are concerned about more updates, wait until late Feb or March to file.

    Thanks

Regarding updates, do "correction" type updates update the already completed forms? For example if a deduction is figured on the result of another calculation, which is erroneously figured, will the update make the necessary adjustments?

If you have already Efiled and your return has been Accepted, a TurboTax update will not make any adjustments in that return.  You would need to Amend your return if you open TurboTax and see that the refund/tax due amounts have changed from your original filing.

If you have not yet filed, updates in TurboTax will be applied automatically in TurboTax Online.   If using TurboTax Desktop, you will need to Update TurboTax to have calculations change on forms already completed.
