Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

When I am working on my Turbo Tax it keeps kicking my estimated tax payment I made Jan. 2019 out. Why?

I have tried over and over to put my January estimated tax payment on my schedule and it does not include it. Why?

Make sure you are entering the payment in the correct place.

To report the estimated tax payments you made, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on Federal TaxesDeductions & Credits > I’ll choose what I work on.
  2. In the Estimates and Other Taxes Paid section, click on the Start/Update box next to Estimates
  3. On the next screen, click the Start/Revisit box next to the type of tax payment (Federal, State, Local).
  4. Enter your payment(s) on the next screen, How much did you pay in federal [or state or local] estimated taxes?

If you are still having problems with the entry, you can enter it directly on the Tax Payments Worksheet in Forms Mode:

  1. Go into Forms Mode.  [If you need help, you can follow the instructions in this FAQ.]
  2. In the Forms in My Return list, click Tax Payments to open the form.
  3. On the Tax Payments Worksheet, enter the number on the form on line 4.
