I spelled my dependents last name wrong

When filing your taxes, all names must match what the social security cards show. 

However, if the name has not been "misspelled" drastically, the IRS may accept your tax return.

If the return is accepted, you don't have to do anything.

If the IRS rejects it, you may make the correction and file again.
