What should I do when the IRS hasn't filed my paper return for 2019, and therefore I don't have an AGI for filing?

Basically, I had to file by paper in 2020 (sorry for saying 2019 in the question) because of a dispute with my parents claiming me and my not actually wanted to be claimed (long story). State returns went through and I've been twiddling my thumbs waiting for federal. Now it's 2021 and I'm trying to file but the IRS is rejecting my AGI because they never filed my paper returns. I'm worried about trying to file paper again. What should I do?

Try $0 since no return was filed.  WARNING, there is nothing you can do to prevent your parents from claiming you on their 2020 return.  the tax laws are specific on who can claim you.

Your parent's could claim you as a qualifying child if all these tests are met
• You have the same principal abode as them for more than ½ the tax year. Temporary absences like for school are ignored
• If not a full-time student, you’re under 19 at the end of the tax year. If a full-time student under 24 at end of tax year.
• you haven't provided over ½ your own support
• you didn't file a joint return unless there was no tax liability but merely filing joint to facilitate refund of taxes withheld or estimates paid
Or they could claim you as a qualifying relative if all these test are met
You’re related to the other person or, if not, lived with the other party for the entire year and
• your gross income for 2020 less than $4,300

• the other party provided over ½ your support
• you aren't a qualifying child of another taxpayer

if both parties claim you for 2020 eventually the IRS will send a notice asking each party to amend to remove claiming you. if neither does there is a second notice which asks each party to submit proof they're entitled to claim you.

might be in a year or two.
