What's this I hear about Intuit burying search results for it's IRS-required Free File version? I will ask the community since it won't let me ask Intuit directly.

Youre looking for IRS Free File?  The Freedom Edition of TurboTax?   I have no clue how search engines organize links.

I'm not looking for it. But the way TurboTax wrote code for the Free website, it's blocked from showing up in a search. This isn't a search engine issue, it's deliberate programming by Intuit to skirt their way around the IRS requirement to provide a Free option. (at least that's my take after reading a ProPublica article on the topic)

Per the Tax Advocate's Report, IRS does not promote this much.

If Google suppresses it at Intuit's request, you should take that up with Google.

Intuit wrote the script of the webpage to *block* search engines from showing it in results. It's an Intuit issue, not a Google issue.

She is referring to it not allowing IRS free filers to use the search engine provided in the top right corner. Please advise why this is so?
