What if TurboTax requests TIN in a specific format, but the 1099-R form instead provides a Federal identification number in a different format?

What kind of Form 1099-R is it? (IRA, Pension, Civil Service...)

The Federal ID Number should be a 9 digit number like XX-XXXXXXX
