What if my employer changed names and sent one w2?

C1 Bank was bought out by Bank of the Ozarks in October 2016 - I got one W2 covering January 1 through December 31.

If you got one W-2 for the year, then only the one W-2 was reported to the IRS. Just enter the data that is on your W-2 and don't worry about the two companies...all the IRS will care about if that what you report matches what they received.
