What if I'm not sure if I'm still covered under my government health plan?

I was covered in 2016  with no notice of  cancellation but I did apply at work this year just in case because I couldn't  confirm coverage with medquest  is this acceptable?

Indicate that you had healthcare all year. You only need to enter information for any period of time where you had Obamacare or Marketplace insurance (so you will need to contact that providers, they should have sent you a 1095-A).  You will enter the information from Form 1095 A for this insurance.  You should enter the information only for the months you were covered by an Obamacare or Marketplace insurance policy.

For insurance offered through your employer, you will only enter that you were covered by insurance. No other information is necessary. When you receive your 1095-C from your employer, file it with your tax papers.  You do not need to enter any information from the 1095-C into Turbo Tax.
