When you mark something as "estimated" that means you are filling in an amount you are unsure of ... then later in the review tab any amounts marked as estimated  will need to be reviewed & confirmed before you can file the return. It simply makes getting back to all the data entry fields you are unsure of easier to do.

Where are you seeing an Estimate button using the TurboTax desktop software?  Or are you referring to estimated tax payments?
