What do you do if a person is deceased and the ID expired after?

Spouse died 05\2023 and because its after 12/31/23, irs listed it as married filing jointly this year. they ask for id information. the deceased died before renewing id and now it is expired. will that make a difference?

It should not make a difference. Make sure in the occupation field you enter deceased.
