What do i do if i by mistake marked health insurance marketplace when i acctually pay insurance through employer-provided health insurance coverage programt

No, do not send the form 1095-C to the IRS unless they specifically request it. You have two options at this point:

1. Amend your tax return to properly reflect your health insurance situation. You would have to go to the Health Insurance tab and all you have to do is indicate that you have health insurance coverage all year (if applicable) and that you were not enrolled in other plans (such us Obamacare of Healthcare.gov plan). Here are amending instructions.

2. Do nothing if you have not paid any penalty... Look at your form 1040, line 61 or Form 1040A line 38.  If you have no penalty amount on that line, amending your return will not make a difference... My recommendation is to leave the return as it is if that's your case. However, be on the lookout, as you may receive a letter in the future from the IRS asking for 1095-A or to pay the penalty or to show exemption... If that happens, simply respond to the letter with proof that you were in fact covered by the health insurance for the entire year of 2016 by providing them with 1095-C.
