Code 922 on your transcript means that the IRS has found some unreported income on your tax return.  This will allow you to amend your return prior to getting a tax notice.

You can call toll-free at 1-800-829-1040 or visit a Taxpayer Assistance Center Local IRS Office.

It could be quite small and no action will be taken. If there was something significant you may get a notice in the mail known as CP2000 that will show what they have on their records versus what you reported. We will not have knowledge of any discrepancy on your return because the IRS does not communicate with us about any tax return information.

As noted by our Tax Expert @JohnB5677 the best action is to call or visit a local office.  Calling early or late will be the best times to try to reach someone.  800-829-1040
