I'm a 24 year old college student living at home. I work a part time job and cannot qualify as a dependent. When my father filed his taxes, his tax preparer made a mistake and claimed me as a dependent, which caused his return to be rejected. He told me that it was amended in February.
I can't file without listing myself as a dependent due to the incorrect information on his return. As of today, my return is still being rejected. I can't seem to find anyone with this same problem online. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do about this and I am desperately relying on the money from this return.

As your father has claimed you (incorrectly) as a dependent, you cannot e-file.
You should file as a non-dependent. You must print out your return and file by mail.
Your father has amended his return so everything will be fine with the IRS.
