What are 1099 - Misc Transactions? How they are different from Non-Dividend distributions (Box 3)?
Non - dividend distribution are non taxable as they reduce cost basis. Are these 1099- Misc taxable and if yes then on which form and line do they go on 1040?

I should have been more clear in my question. This 1099 - misc is on my Brokerage 1099 form.
I got dividend distributions from few companies and they are Return of Capital. There is form 8937 on company website.
Some part of distribution is under Ordinary dividends and some part is Return of Capital. Then there is small amount from same company/entity listed under 1099 misc.
I am aware of only 2 types of distributions Qual/ordinary div. OR dividend as return of Capital.
Not sure how they split up distributions into 3 parts? Question I am asking is how I know if it is reported correctly or am I paying/reporting same income twice?
I looked carefully at 1040 and Sch 1. of Turbo Tax and it did indeed imported 1099 Misc income to Other Income under Sch 1.
