Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

We have a W-2 that has an amount in Box 18 but "NO OCCUP" in Box 20. I can't seem to reconcile the amount, but not sure what to put for "Associated State??"

The employer is in Alabama, we are in Florida and the job was in North Carolina.  State employer ID numbers for all 3 states are included on the W-2 (even though no income tax in FL).  Turbotax keeps kicking back this W-2 for review and the only thing I see that could be the issue is choosing the associated state for the local taxes.  Can you help??  Thanks 🙂

Since you did not state there was an amount in Box 19 (local income tax), then no local tax was withheld from your pay. Please remove the entry in Box 18 and Box 20 as no local tax was withheld. There will be no effect on your tax return.
