Did you read my post? NO. If they don't correct it with the IRS, you will either get a check, debit card or have to get it by filing your F...KING taxes for 2020 which is BU...S...T. I/We need the money NOW to pay bills.

Not sure what’s going on now. Reading their Twitter page and it says in some cases 3-10 weeks to get a check. Others say they are fixing it like HR Block did as their customers are getting their stimulus deposited.  I’ll give them another 24 hours to get an answer or I’m going to my local state rep. This is crazy

Thanks jott1972... Keep us posted and if I don't see a resolution will go to my rep. also.

So correct me if I'm wrong... The stimulus money from hundreds or thousands of Turbo Tax filers is going to these supposedly "Closed Accounts" used for filing fee transferals, and earning TT tons of interest?

I also have the same problem and I filed with turbotax last year and paid for my filing fees with my refund.  I received my first stimulus with no issues.  I also checked my tax forms and sure enough everything for my bank is correct.

Looks like they've done this to a lot of people.

I have to agree. I'm thinking Turbo and H&R Block wants to cash in on using there program for those tax credit rebates. And we're the Ginny Pigs.

Because it looks as if we will be claiming our stimulus on our taxes to receive the money.

I'll be filing as soon as I can but I can guarantee that it won't be through turbotax.  This is outrageous.

I contacted the CEO of Turbo Tax. Their response is they did not receive any money from the IRS. The IRS rushed to get the payments out and used the wrong bank account info. They sent the money to closed accounts temporarily used by TT. So the deposit failed and the money sits with the IRS. Now, its up to the IRS if they are going to correct it with the right bank info, mail a check instead or like some have said tell you to claim it on your taxes. I also contacted several state reps and congressman and woman from PA and NY.  There is also a class action lawsuit in the works because of this issue.

I just signed that Change.org petition. Anyone updates from Turbo Tax on this problem?

I just subscribed to several Facebook groups and am "Blasting this message" to all of them. If you guys/gales have other social media accounts and want to do the same, please do!

I and hundreds/thousands of Turbo Tax fillers are NOT getting their $600 stimulus money. We in the Turbo Tax community forum contacted the CEO of Turbo Tax. Their "bogus" response is they did not receive any money from the IRS. The IRS rushed to get the payments out and used the wrong bank account info. They sent the money to closed accounts temporarily used by TT for filing fees. So the deposit failed and the money sits with the IRS. I got the message below directly from the irs.gov site. Keep a close eye on your mail!

If the IRS doesn’t have routing and account information for you for a direct deposit, you will be sent either a check or debit card in the form of an EIP Card.

Folks, it's just over. The IRS is going to fix NOTHING, and it's a shame. It really is. I can't believe they will not take the time to fix this 'glitch' it really shows you how much they care about the people. They don't! All we can do is file it on line 30 of the 1040 form and receive a tax credit. This will most likely delay processing our refund because they will have to investigate it, because we all know the IRS sure as hell doesn't want anyone to receive two payments. Just so disappointed in our system and the fact they will not even talk to anyone or attempt to clean up the mess THEY made. Keep your head up everyone. Do not let the IRS be the reason you can't enjoy yourself, family, or friends.

  • Am I the only one still hoping they are going to issue a deposit date? When I used the non-filers to help file my brothers and friends request, they all had this same exact message for weeks, before a deposit date WAS issued. Also, social security recipients got this message before their payments were issued.

Lets stay optimistic and stop creating the worst scenario. I believe we will see a deposit date!
