Hello,

If my mom lists me as a dependent child on her W4 form from work and I turned 18 this year, should she update her w4

She might still be able to claim you if you are under 19 on Dec 31 or under 24 and a full time student. Or any age if you made less than $4,500 for 2023.

I suppose so, but what I mean is that in her W4 she has me as dependent under 17 years old (2000$). If I already turned 18 this year, should she put me as "others you depend (500$)"?

And if I got a full time job and I want to claim myself, what is the benefit and Disadvantages.
